I finally got my other knee replaced and oh my dog . . . surprise, surprise . . . I went back to BeneFIT PT and Brian for my other new knee physical therapy!
Everything below about the physical location in Bridgewater and Brian is still all true. However, all of the staff referred to below has moved on, and he had all new folks, all of whom are once again very nice and helpful. His new main assistant is Margie, who is very good at her job and knowledgeable (she runs a tight ship at Bridgewater too) . . . and do not be afraid to schedule with her, as Brian is not at this location (or Chester) at all times that may be convenient for you.
There really isn't any more positive things I can say new about Brian/BeneFIT PT that I haven't already said below . . . except this, that I noticed during my latest PT sessions: Brian takes his time with all of his patients/is never in rush, like many of my other medical service providers . . . he listens to what you have to say about your injury . . . then he formulates a plan that he takes the time to fully explain to you, in terminology that you can fully understand . . . then if you have any questions (most likely), you ask him and and once again, he will provide you with a complete and understandable reply - I personally think this is a true gift that he has, as I heard him do several new patient evaluations during my PT time there, and they all were like I noted above (as was mine) - I really appreciated this aspect of the service Brian provides
The only "bad" thing I can say about Brian, is that he unfortunately somehow became a Vikings fan (yes, I wrote a "Vikings fan"!) in what must have been a severely misguided and unfortunate youth . . . but that only leads to much spirited debate with his PT patients and their fav NFL football teams (e.g., the legendary and historic Green Bay Packers)

I recently had my knee replaced, and I was going to get my physical therapy via my doctor’s office, but my family told me no, I had to go to Benefit Physical Therapy and see Brian, as he had previously ‘worked wonders’ on both of my girls with various/numerous high school sport injuries. Well, I have to say they were 100% correct.
The facility is spacious and very clean with all types of equipment. The entire staff is friendly and overall the atmosphere is very social . . . and fun! I actually look forward to going to my PT and interacting with other patients and the Benefit staff during my PT time.
As for Brian, the owner and lead physical therapist, well he knows his stuff, that’s for sure. He takes his time and you go at your own pace/never feel rushed. Every week he has added additional items to my workout and I am progressing wonderfully. Additionally, during my first week of PT, Brian noticed I was developing a skin infection on my lower leg and sent me back to my knee replacement doctor the next day (a full week before my next scheduled visit). Sure enough he was correct and I was able to catch my infection well before it traveled up to my ‘new’ knee. That was a huge find by him!
I really can’t say enough positive things about this place, from the overall facility to Brian and his staff. Even though I have not completed my PT for my right knee, I know I will be returning when I get my left knee replaced next year.
Quick update: during my physical therapy at Benefit, I also had several sessions with Beth, the other Physical Therapist at the Bridgewater location. I can report that she is just as good for physical therapy as Brian . . . i.e., just as knowable, skillful and friendly . . . I was also quite pleased to have experienced her services in my recovery process.

Brian is wonderful at balancing a full house. He expertly juggles patients' needs while creating a comfortable environment for a multigenerational group. He has helped my daughter rehab her shoulder, ankle and now, my back.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about BeneFIT in Chester, NJ, and especially about Brian Ireland, my physical therapist. I began working with him in January 2025 after a full ACL tear, and from the start both pre- and post-surgery he’s been nothing short of incredible.
Brian is not only a deeply compassionate and genuinely kind person, but also a brilliant and highly skilled PT. He masterfully blends surgical protocols, personal goals, and emotional support to give his patients the best possible recovery path. I underwent the BEAR (Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair) procedure, a newer and less common surgical approach and was so relieved to find that Brian not only understood it but could rehab it. Not many PTs are familiar with the nuances of BEAR recovery, but Brian approached it with knowledge, care, and confidence, which gave me tremendous peace of mind.
My post-surgery journey has been an emotional roller coaster, as someone who values independence, I found the early days particularly tough. There were moments of frustration, and many tears, but Brian was always there with empathy, gentleness, and just the right amount of push when I needed it most.
What makes BeneFIT even more special is the community Brian has built. The environment is uplifting and supportive, patients cheer each other on, celebrate small wins, and it feels like we’re all in it together. I honestly can’t imagine going through this recovery with anyone else by my side.
Thank you, Brian and the entire BeneFIT team. I’m truly grateful for you!!!

Brian Ireland and his staff are outstanding. I noticed improvement after 2 sessions, which I did not experience working with my previous physical therapist. You won’t be disappointed. 😉
