TRX training is pretty much a staple at BeneFIT Physical Therapy. We love it for its numerous fitness benefits and immense versatility. You may have seen TRX straps before hanging in your gym or even in our clinics. We believe many people can benefit from TRX training and we’re going to tell you why!
What is TRX?
The TRX is a suspension training system that utilizes a person’s body weight and gravity to provide a fast and effective workout. TRX will help build and improve your core while improving your muscular endurance. According to TRX.com, TRX was created while Navy SEAL Squadron Commander Randy Hetrick was deployed. He wanted to enhance his workout but was limited in terms of equipment. He created the first version of TRX using “only a jiu jitsu belt and parachute webbing.”

Why use the TRX?
- Exercises can be easily adjusted to any individual’s capabilities to provide a challenging, but safe workout
- Can be a great tool to work on improving your balance
- Increased muscle activation when compared to exercises done on stable ground
- The suspension system can be set up anywhere
TRX at BeneFIT
