BeneFIT Physical Therapy offers Outpatient Physical Therapy at two locations! Our Bridgewater New Jersey office is located in a 2,000 sq ft space while our Chester New Jersey office, in the Chester Springs Shopping Center between CVS and Marshalls,  is located in a 1,800 sq ft space.

Both of our offices now offer state of the art equipment from industry leading companies like Tuff Stuff, Perform Better, Power Systems, Landice, Sci-Fit, Chattanooga, and Thera-Band.


Our Team

Brian Ireland
PT, DPT, OCS, Cert MDT, CSCS, CKTP, CGS, FMS lvl 1&2, SFMA lvl 1&2

Brian Ireland received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry and Sport and Exercise Science from Messiah College. He is a Board Licensed therapist in the State of New Jersey and has continued his professional education to further his knowledge and understandng of physical therapy. Dr. Ireland has attained his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification (OCS) becoming board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association. The OCS is the preeminent distinction a therapist can attain in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, acknowledging their advanced expertise, clinical knowledge, competence, skills, and commitment to their profession.

He is Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert MDT) from the McKenzie Institute of America, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and is a certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner through Kinesio Taping Association International.  He has become a certified Graston Specialist (CGS) through the Graston Technique a leading Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).  Further more, he has become certified to perform both the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and The Functional Movement Screen (FMS). Dr. Ireland is a TPI Certified level 1 Golf Medical Professional by the Titleist Performance Institute and has successfully completed the TRX Suspension Training and TRX Sports Medicine Suspension Courses.

Throughout his years of experience as both a Physical Therapist and Personal Trainer, Dr. Ireland has worked with numerous patients and clients of all age groups with different fitness/rehabilitation goals ranging from senior citizens looking for improved balance and endurance to professional athletes looking to get back to their highly competitive sport and perform better than when they were first injured.

Dr. Ireland lives in Basking Ridge with his wife and their three daughters.

Ivana Kapetanovic

Ivana began her undergraduate education at Kean University where she graduated with a degree in Psychology/pre Physical Therapy in 3.5 years. While at Kean, Ivana participated in various extra curricular activities and clubs and was part of the girls Volleyball team. After receiving MVP honors her freshman year, Ivana became the team captain and was an NCAA recognized student-athlete with several other academic and athletic awards. She continued to be involved and coach collegiate level Volleyball while in graduate school.

Ivana completed her physical therapy doctorate studies at Rutgers University and has since been Board Licensed physical therapist in the state of NJ. The majority of her clinical experience is in outpatient orthopedic settings working with various patient populations and participating in NFL combine medical screens and treatments for 3 years. Ivana is passionate about further expanding and developing her skills by attending continuing education and certification courses. She is an SFMA certified therapist and is working on her CSCS certification at this time.

Fitness and sports are big in Ivana’s life and she enjoys working out several times a week and playing competitive beach Volleyball in the summer. In her free time, Ivana enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and engaging in outdoorsy activities such as hiking.

Ivana is fluent in Serbo-Croatian and is working on perfecting her Spanish skills.

Samantha Menza

Samantha Menza received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at New York Medical College in 2017. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 2014. She is a Board Licensed physical therapist in the State of New Jersey and has been primarily practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting treating all diagnoses ranging from sports injuries, to joint replacements, to fall risk prevention in the elderly.

Sam is certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and has her Functional Movement Techniques Kinesiology Taping Certification through Rock Tape. She has also completed certificate courses specializing in concussion management and return to sport training post-concussion. Sam has experience with instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques (IASTM) which she plans to become certified in. Sam’s professional interests include orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, and her goals are to achieve her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification (OCS) to further advance her knowledge and skills in treating orthopedic injuries. She enjoys pursuing additional continuing education opportunities to further help her patients recover and achieve their goals through evidence-based techniques.

When Sam is not at BeneFIT, she enjoys going hiking, doing yoga, lifting weights, and hanging out with friends and family. She lives in Piscataway with her fiancé and 2 cats.

Ryan Tirella

Ryan Tirella received his Associates in Applied Science degree from Union County College in 2017, and is a Board Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Before obtaining his degree and license, Ryan worked with BeneFIT as a rehabilitation technician in 2013 prior to obtaining his license as a PTA.  Ryan has a background in personal training, as well as rehabilitation exercise. He works with a wide array of clients, ranging from young athletes to older adults.

While working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Ryan has gained experience in many clinical settings. Treating patients in an orthopedic rehabilitation capacity, as well as Neuro-rehabilitation centers; specializing in the treatment of vestibular dysfunctions, and rehabilitation for conditions such as Vertigo and BPPV.

Ryan enjoys working with his patients, and believes that the best treatment is achieved through evidence proven techniques, and tailoring a regiment to an individuals recovery goals. Ryan is always learning new things about the physical therapy field and is constantly implementing his knowledge of current techniques with his patients.

When Ryan is not at BeneFIT he can be found spending time with his wife and two dogs.

Megan McCullough
Office Director

Megan received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in 2019. While completing her undergraduate studies she volunteered at St.Peter University Hospital, gaining physical therapy clinical experience which inspired her to look into physical therapy as a career.

She began with BeneFIT Physical Therapy three years ago as an aide to expand her knowledge of physical therapy. Over time, she became increasingly interested in all aspects of physical therapy and has since worked her way up to being the office director of both clinics while handling all billing duties for BeneFIT Physical Therapy.

Her dedication has paid off as she will be entering Rutgers University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in July of 2020.

When she’s not at BeneFIT you can find her lifting weights, reading, hiking, or enjoying a nice glass of wine while cooking.

Jennifer Moore
Office Manager, Chester

Jen graduated from Rutgers University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Kinesiology and Health. While obtaining her BS, she worked in both outpatient and inpatient physical therapy settings, gaining plenty of in-field knowledge. Jen loves the field of physical therapy and hopes to further her education.

Jen she has been dancing since the age of 3. After graduating from Rutgers University she danced professionally in New York City and with Princess Cruise Line in Asia. Jen was reintroduced into physical therapy after fracturing her foot while performing. With new-found inspiration to continue on her physical therapy track, she hung up her dancing shoes and joined the BeneFIT Family.

In addition to being a part of the BeneFIT team, Jen is a certified trainer at AKT in Morristown New Jersey, a HIIT-based dance cardio and strength training facility. She is furthering her education by studying for her CSCS certification. Jen loves seeing her clients get stronger and achieving their fitness goals.

In her spare time, Jen loves to spend time with family, friends, and her fluffy cat Cosmo.

Heather Hodder, Social Media Strategist

M.A. NYU, Media, Cultue and Communications; B.A, Cum Laude, GWU, Political Communications;Reiki level I and II certified

Heather Hodder, born & raised in NJ, has always been interested in athletics, journalism and  health and wellness. She has a personal interest in physical therapy as great physical therapists assisted her recovery from a dance injury while young and recently, from injuries due to an auto accident.

A dancer since age 3,  Heather studied tap, jazz and ballet at Broadway Dance Center in NYC.  In 6th grade, she entered the Intensive Program at the New Jersey Ballet Company in Livingston, NJ and danced, en pointe, with NJB Junior Company until she graduated Morris Hills High School. Graduating #8 in her class  at MHHS, she earned her Varsity letters in Fencing and Cheerleading.

As an NYU freshman, Heather fell in love with journalism, writing for the student paper The Washington Square News and attending NYU’s Journalism in London 8 credit summer program concentrating on both Investigative Journalism and Arts Criticism,  fitting in Ballet drop-in classes abroad.  As a sophomore,she transferred to The George Washington University’s  prestigious School for Media and Public Affairs majoring in Political Communication. Writing for The GW Hatchet, an online blog the Daily Colonial, she then began writing professionally for The Patch covering local news in Georgetown. Heather was accepted into The Washington Post’s intercollegiate intensive semester, taught by Washington Post legends like Peter Pearl and Bob Woodward. This program led Heather to obtain a summer internship at The New York Times Metro Section (then) new blog ” The Local”,  reporting on Millburn, South Orange and Maplewood news and updating the NYT Local NJ Twitter.

Heather jumped into the political world  Junior year at GWU with two consecutive internships at The U.S. Department of State in the Bureau of International Information Programs, assisting Foreign Service Officers communicate with their counterparts abroad through social media and moderating adobe webchats held by U.S. Embassies abroad.

Senior year, she interned at the Brookings Institute for the senior communications chief, won a Google Scholarship to be a member of the Online News Association’s student newsroom and reported on various global conferences in DC. Heather graduated Cum Laude with her B.A. in Political Communications in January 2011. Staying in DC, spring semester she began Grad School with a course in Online Campaigning while interning a third time at US Department of State in the Bureau of Public Affairs’ U.S. Diplomacy center, working in web and in-person programming, interviewing Fulbright Scholars, ambassadors  and foreign and civil servants and preparing for the then future Museum of The U.S. Department of State.

In 2013 Heather graduated NYU with an  M.A. in Media, Culture and Communication. She continued freelance writing for various publications and her acting career ( SAG- AFTRA member since age 10).  Her Music Journalism career kicked off after spending many summers attending and working with Music Festivals Hospitality Coordinators at Camp Bisco. While acting in NYC, she also worked in marketing, promoting many music venues while gaining visibility on press lists.

This became helpful when living in Los Angeles, CA, pitching ideas to various music blogs until she landed a gig as a Contributing Writer for The Untz Festival, writing articles on albums,  new artists, and feature stories. Influenced by the #Metoo movemement, Heather interviewed women producers, club owners, agents and other women in leadership roles in the Bass and Electronic Music Industry in an acclaimed blog series on The Untz. In California she continued her studies in yoga and  became certified in Reiki Level 1 and 2 at Santa Monica College while enjoying hiking on the beautiful California Coast.

Heather is happy to be home in NJ and thrilled to be working as Blog Editor and Social Media Strategist for BeneFIT PT.  She is a vegetarian,  loves reading up on the fad and effective trends in herbal medicine, fitness and well being. As a former dancer, she keeps up a Home PT Routine as well as doing pilates, yoga, hiking, pilates, and swimming. She loves animals, especially her newest adopted rescue beagle, Honey.
