Kim Dillon is a Board Licensed physical therapist in the state of New Jersey who received her Master’s in Science Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Prior, she also received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. To provide the highest quality of care to her patients, she has taken a wide variety of continuing education courses with a focus on the most current treatment techniques.
She is currently certified in the Graston Technique, which is an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). It enables clinicians to effectively treat chronic, acute or post-surgical soft tissue restrictions, the range of motion and inflammation with specially designed stainless steel instruments.
With over 16 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, Kim has worked with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Her approach to patient care is to start with a thorough evaluation and then build an individualized plan of care that is geared towards each patient’s personal goals. Various treatment techniques and manual therapies are integrated to treat the underlying cause of pain, not just the symptoms.
They include but are not limited to Graston Technique (IASTM), McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Mulligan concept, Kinesiotaping, Myofascial Release and postural/ergonomic training. Patient education and home exercise plans are also key components to each successful recovery, Dillon has said. She takes pride in spending the time to get to know each patient and delivering the personal attention needed to help them reach their goals in the quickest way possible.
When Kim is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors playing sports or hiking. She lives in Long Valley with her husband and three children.
